I grew up around my family's import and wholesale business and my father was a fantastic entrepreneurial role model. I had the privilege of learning-by-doing all aspects of the business and I understand the hard work involved in making a success of a business built from scratch.
In 2003 I graduated with a First Class degree in Economics and then spent several enjoyable years working in HM Treasury and then the City of London. It was valuable for me to get top-tier professional perspective in the public and private sectors.
Having acquired Universal Air Tool Company in 2009 I really enjoyed overcoming the varied challenges of running a business and I am very proud of more than quadrupling the value of the company in just five years to £1,600,000 (US$2,375,000) when it was sold in 2014. The beauty of owning your own business is that it pays you many times over - first while you're working on it and then again when you decide to sell. It will pay you again if you're offering a period of handover consultancy to the new owners. It could also pay you all the way through if you rent your business premises from your pension fund... and long afterward if your old business keeps renting from you.

Everyone is at different stages in their professional and personal lives, but we should all have a plan! I have built my life here in Maidenhead and this is how I am meeting my own lifestyle and professional goals:

I built an e-commerce business which works on a highly automated drop-shipping model. The product is high quality, sells itself and rarely goes wrong, so there is little interaction needed. Customers pay upfront and the manufacturer ships direct to my customer.
